The Sons of God

We shall be like him.

1 John 3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God, and has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when it is revealed we shall be like him, we shall see him as he is.

Who has this hope purifies himself.

1 Jn: 03:03: Everyone who has this hope in him purifies, as it is pure.

To find out what we have become, helps us to keep our focus. You see, we need to know they are not easy to come by so just goSky, one day, we praise God when we are in Christ Jesus, but we are called to co-heirs with Christ, and this is an eternal vocation.

We asked, as the foundation of the world.
Mt: 25:34: Then the king of them on his right, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared to say the creation of the world:

: Ephesians 1:4-5. just as he chose us before the foundation of the world, weholy and blameless before him in love, He predestined us to sonship through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,

1 Peter: 1:20: It was intended, in fact, before the creation of the world, but revealed in these last times for you

John 1:12 - 13 But as many have received, he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who was born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the willman but of God

To be called children of God

1. John 3:1. See what love the Father has given us that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us because they know it.

Adoption -

Rom: 8:15: For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you get the spirit of adoption by whom we cry Abba, Father.

A.) the importance of acceptance in the days of the old Roman Empire, meant nothing more than to be taken only in reference to Barclays daily Bible study is a lot of depth of understanding of adoption in Rome.

"We need to understand how severe and complex Roman Empire was a prerequisite step that we did was really under stand the depth of meaning in this passage. Adoption Roman and more serious and more difficult to potestas of the Roman home. This was the power of the father on his family, was the power of disposition and absolute control andThe first day was actually the power of life and death. In relation to his father, a son Roman is never old. No matter how old he was, was still in the homeland potestas, in absolute possession and under the absolute control of his father. Obviously the fact of adoption to another family a very difficult and serious step. Adopting a person had to move from one country to other potestas.

There were two phases. The first was known as mancipatio and was carried by asymbolic sale, in which copper and the scales have been used symbolically. Three times the symbolism of the sale was made. Twice, the symbolic father sold his son, and twice he bought it back, but the third time, and then do not buy back the home potestas was considered broken, to be. It was followed by a ceremony called vindicatio. The father went to the assumption praetor, a Roman officer and handed a lawsuit for the transfer of person to be adopted in its homelandpotestas. If all this was completed, the adoption was complete. Obviously this was a serious step and impressive.

But it is the consequences of the assumption that the most important of which are for the image that comes to mind Paul. There were four main. (I) The adopted person lost all rights to his old family and gained all the rights of a legitimate son in his new family. More binding, got a new father. (Ii) followed that he was the heir of his father's new property. Evenwhen other children were born to it, without prejudice to its rights. He was co-heir with their inalienable. (Iii) The law has been off the old life of the person adopted in full, for example, all debts were canceled. He was regarded as a new person a new life, to do with those of the past had nothing. (Iv) in the eyes of the law, was absolutely the son of his new father. Roman history is an excellent case of how complete was held to be true. The Emperor ClaudiusBlack, so it might succeed to the throne, were blood relatives in any way. Claudio had a daughter, Octavia.

To cement the alliance Nero wanted to marry her. Nero and Octavia were in any way the relations of blood, but in the eyes of the law, were brother and sister, and before they get married, the Roman Senate had a special legislation.

This is what Paul was thinking. He uses another image of the Roman adoption. He says thatGod's Spirit witnesses with our spirit that we are truly his children. The adoption ceremony was conducted in the presence of seven witnesses. Assuming that the adopted father died, and there were some differences of opinion on the right of an adopted child to inherit one or more of the seven witnesses came forward and swore that the adoption has been made. The law was adopted to ensure the person and he was her heir. So, Paul says, is the same Holy Spirit who is theWitness of our acceptance in God's family. E 'was photo of Paul when he was a Christian man in God's family a lot. He has done nothing to deserve it, God, great father, in his incredible love and mercy, lost, helpless, poor, sinner debt laden and carried it in his own family, so that the debt be deleted and the inherited glory "Amen that!

B.) real children. -

Galatians 4.1 to 7. Now I say that the heir, untilhe is a child, are no different from a slave, though he ruled them all, but is under guardians and trustees until the time appointed of the Father. We, too, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of time, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law for those under the law, so you can redeem received as children.
Because you are sons, God sent his spiritSon into your hearts and cried, "Abba, Father''is because you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Barclay's further highlights these. --- "In the ancient world the process of growth was much more certain than it is with us.

(I) In the Jewish world, the first Saturday after a boy had passed his twelfth birthday, he took his father to the synagogue, where he was a son of the law. The father then uttered aBlessing, "Blessed are you, O God, has taken over from me the responsibility of this guy." The boy said a prayer in which he said: "O my God and God of my fathers, in this solemn and sacred day that marked my body from boy to man, I humbly look up to tell you, and, with sincerity and the truth is that from now on will keep your commandments, and shall undertake and be responsible for mine action to you. "There was a clear line of demarcation in the life of the boy, almostovernight became a man.

(Ii) in Greece was a boy with his father until he was seven eighteen nurses. He was then what was a ephebos that can be translated as "cadets" and was for two years under the direction of the state. The Athenians were divided into ten or phratriai clan. Before a boy became a ephebos, a festival called Apatouria, was included in the clan, and the ceremony, his long hair was cut in one and offered to the gods.grow once was a very specific procedure.

(Iii) In Roman law the year in which a boy had grown up have not been definitively established, but it was always 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. years of age. In a celebration of the sacred family called Liberals has pulled his toga praetexta, which is a purple toga with a narrow foot and pulled the toga of manhood, who wore a toga was simply adults. It 'was then run by his friends and relatives on the forumand formally introduced in public life. It was essentially a religious ceremony. Once again there was a specific date when the boy reaches manhood. He was a Roman custom, the day a boy or a girl, the boy gave his ball has grown, the girl and her doll to show off that Apollo, what child parties. When a boy he was a child in the eyes of the law, could be the owner of a huge fine, but was unable to take any legal decision, was not in control of their lives;all things were made and sent for him, and then for all practical purposes had no more freedom than when he was a slave, but if he is a man slammed his legacy. "

I think we gave the first fruits of the adoption process, God has called us to grow to adulthood and full participation in all gave us his word.

Rom: 08:23: And not only them but also have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we groan, even inWe look forward to the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Roma: 9:04: the Israelites, including the adoption, the glory and the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God and the promises;

We are born into God's family, but we walk in obedience to our full inheritance as children go. The Word of God tells us that if we suffer with Him, we will be glorified with him. We know that Jesus is not suffering now, but in the right placeHand of God. We speak our journey of faith on the earth at this time.

James 1:2-4. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
knowing that the trying of your faith involves perseverance. But that patience has its perfect work, that one can be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.

Yes, it takes a little 'patience but the rewards are great, not back, make your position on the word of God, and as James said it would be perfectand complete lacking nothing.

2TM: 3:11, persecution, suffering, come to me in Antioch, Iconium, at Lystra, what persecutions I suffered, but from all the Lord delivered me.

Rom :8:17-25: and when the children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him that there may also be brought to glory. I consider the sufferings of this present time can not be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Creation waitsanxious about the days when the sons of God is revealed. Creation was related futility. It was not what he wanted, but God has willed it so. So, he tied it. But there is hope! Creation will be liberated from the bondage of corruption into the freedom of the glory of God's children We already know that the whole creation groans with pain. He feels the pain as a woman will give birth soon. Not only that, but we who have the first fruits of the Spirit groan of paintoo. We are pleased to be true children - when our body is released! We have been saved with this hope. A hope that is seen is not hope. Who hopes for what he can see what? But we are here for something that we hope can not yet see, we wait patiently.

1 Corinthians 12:25-27. there is no division in the body, but members have the same care for each other. And if one member suffers, all suffer with him, or if one member is honored allRejoice with him. Now you are the body of Christ and members individually.

Gave power to become children.

Joh: 1:12: "But those who received him he gave power to become children of God are those who believe in His name;

You notice that he does not say - how many have received, but they did the sons of God, but the power to become children were. I want to emphasize, this does not mean that we are his children, gave us the right to go in its powerthe fulfillment of his legacy, to fulfill the calling that was written before the world, as true sons who are old.

An inheritance incorruptible.

1pt :1:4-5: an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, which are protected by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the recently held.

Eph: 1:11: In that we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to theOf him who all things after the counsel of His will works

The sons of God through His Spirit.

Rom: 08:14: For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God

Heb: 11:08: By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go to the place that would later inherited. It set out without knowing whither he went.

The hope is no shame.

Rom: 05:05: Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has beenin our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given.

Another is to love the character of God's life in us.

1 John 3:11 Since this is the message you heard from the beginning that we love,
14. We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brethren.
1. John 5:4. For all that is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith.

I believe that the adoption process beginshere and now. Detailed son-ship
(Our full inheritance and all that implies) will come later. I think we have a purpose on this earth, not only exist, but is set to meet the call of God on our lives.
I think this is our testing ground for things to come. I think the word of God is trying for a reason. Many Christians say, please let me by and I'd like to have a small hut in the corner of Glory Land. I hear things like this,They think they are modest. No, I think it's selfish, religious nonsense (whatever that means) and really false modesty. We have been called more than that. We are called to become children of God's Glory! The Bible tells us that we are strangers. In other words, we are only in transit. I believe that our faith is perfected here, there's a reason for the things we go through. The word of God tells us -

1 Peter 1:7. so that the value of your faith, precious than gold which is perishable, even if it has been tested by fire, it can be shown to the praise and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Peter is the Holy Spirit himself who is the ultimate test and test our faith in God and the final results will be useful, it can bring to your (or we could have our say), praise and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

God has a purpose for things, not that he is the author of these things, but that allows them, so wean end, so that will be in our favor, when Jesus returns. It always looks to us and asks us to see His perfect will for our lives that we are blessed. Our faith is perfect for a purpose. We tried it for a purpose. We are predestined to be sons of God

: Ephesians 1:4-5. just as he chose us before the foundation of the world (or so) to be holy and blameless before him in love with us, predestined to the adoption of childrenJesus Christ himself, according to the purpose of his will,

1 Cor 02:09 But it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, nor had he received the heart of man the things that the love that God has prepared for this.

Ephesians 2.07, which could in future centuries to show the riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Jesus Christ.

1. John 3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God, and has not yet been revealed what we shall be,but we know that when it is revealed we shall be like Him, we shall see him as he is.

I hope this year published a new meaning to buy. Glory to God Amen

If you want to know that you are a child of God, and fervently pray this prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus' name. Your word says, "... and whoever comes to me I will in no way cast out." (Jn.6: 37), so I know that I did not pull out, but you take me in, and I thank youfor them. You said in your Word: "Who gets the name of the Lord shall be saved.''(Ro 10:13).

I'm going to call your name so I know that you saved me hours, it also says "... that, think if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and in your heart that God raised Him from the dead thou shalt be saved because the heart is believed to justice, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation ".. (Ro.10: 9.10).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christis the son of God I think he was raised from the dead for my justification. And I admit it now as my Lord, for Your word says, "... with the heart one believes unto righteousness ..." and I believe with my heart, I now have the righteousness of God in Christ to be. (2 Cor. 5:21)

And I'm saved! Thank you Lord! Now I can honestly say I see myself as a born again child of God! Glory to God! Amen.
